Janna Ji Wonders Won The 5th ‘made In Germany-perspective Award’

Glasutti Original, a partner of the 66th Berlin International Film Festival, and the ‘Made in Germany-Perspektive Fellowship’ co-founded with the ‘German Film Perspective’ unit welcome the fifth winner ——JannaJiWonders.

   Eligible candidates for the ‘Made in Germany-Perspective Awards’ are all directors of films released in the 2015 Perspective German Films unit. At the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival, JannaJiWonders (co-author NicoWoche) was favored by the jury for its treatment of the movie ‘WalchenseeForever’. This year’s judges include actress Sandra Hüller, director and film writer IngoHaeb, and producer Martin Heisler.

   Glashütte Original not only gives the prize a € 15,000 prize for script development, but also ensures that young directors have all the support they need to carry out the project. The winner, JannaJiWonders, will continue her project with her mentor.

   JannaJiWonders was born in Mill Valley, California, USA, and grew up in Walchensee, Bavaria, Germany. During his time at the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF), Walchensee directed and edited several short films and English videos. Her works BlingBling (Los Angeles Gangster Rap) and Kinderder Schlafviertel (Moscow Street Punk) have been screened at international film festivals and won multiple awards.
